Raksha Bandhan Celebration 2025

*On *9th August 2025*, *Silver Grove School* celebrated the auspicious festival of *Raksha Bandhan* with profound joy and cultural reverence. The event was organised to acquaint students with the rich traditions of India and to instil the timeless values of love, protection, and sibling bonding. The celebration commenced with an insightful address highlighting the mythological and cultural significance of Raksha Bandhan—symbolising the sacred vow of protection and mutual respect between brothers and sisters. Young girls from the Primary and Middle Wing tied colourful, handmade *rakhis* to their classmates and brothers, exchanging heartfelt wishes and sweets. Students also crafted eco-friendly rakhis and decorated *rakhi thalis* as part of an art-integrated activity, showcasing remarkable creativity and enthusiasm. Boys, in turn, pledged to uphold the values of care, respect, and responsibility towards their sisters and peers. The campus resonated with festive spirit as classrooms were adorned with decorative motifs and students participated in storytelling sessions on legends associated with the festival, such as those of *Lord Krishna and Draupadi*, and *Rani Karnavati and Emperor Humayun*. The Raksha Bandhan celebration served as a meaningful platform to reinforce emotional bonding, cultural awareness, and the spirit of togetherness among students. It beautifully conveyed that the festival transcends blood relations—it is a universal celebration of love, trust, and protection. _“At Silver Grove School, Raksha Bandhan was celebrated not just as a ritual, but as a lesson in compassion, respect, and lifelong bonding.”_
