To commemorate the victory of Lord Rama over Ravana, our school celebrated the festival of Dussehra on. Celebrating festivals is an integral part of learning at our school. Dussehra is a major Indian festival celebrated over ten days and marks the culmination of Navratri. It symbolises the triumph of good over evil, as it commemorates Lord Rama’s victory over the demon king Ravana. A small yet vibrant event was organised by our teachers and the young students of Kindergarten to Class 5. The children came dressed in traditional ethnic attire, portraying roles such as Lord Rama, Devi Sita, and other characters from the Ramayana. Students and teachers came together for a joyous Navratri celebration, the highlight of which was the spirited Dandiya dance. The rhythmic beats and boundless energy filled the atmosphere with festive cheer. Our teachers also shared valuable insights about the significance of the festival, thereby enriching the students’ cultural understanding. Moments like these not only allow us to cherish our rich cultural heritage but also reaffirm the spirit of unity and togetherness that lies at the heart of Silver Grove School.
