Educational Excursion to Swarved Mandir & Sarnath | Primary Wing

On *24th February 2026*, *Silver Grove School* organised an insightful educational excursion for the students of the *Primary Wing* to the magnificent *Swarved Mahamandir Dham* and the historic site of *Sarnath*, Varanasi. The excursion was curated to blend spiritual awareness with historical learning, enabling young learners to experience India’s rich cultural tapestry first-hand. At *Swarved Mahamandir Dham*, students marvelled at the grand architecture and serene spiritual ambience. Teachers elucidated the significance of the temple and the values of meditation, peace, and inner discipline that it embodies. The children observed the sanctity of the space with curiosity and reverence, making it a profound value-based learning experience. The journey continued to *Sarnath*, the sacred site where Lord Buddha delivered his first sermon. Students visited the *Dhamek Stupa*, *Ashoka Pillar*, and the *Archaeological Museum*, gaining visual understanding of ancient Indian history, Buddhist philosophy, and our nation’s architectural heritage. Concepts from their Social Science curriculum came alive as they witnessed historical artefacts, inscriptions, and monuments dating back centuries. The trip not only enhanced their historical and cultural knowledge but also nurtured observation skills, social bonding, and respect for diverse traditions. Students returned with inquisitive minds, joyful memories, and a deeper sense of pride in India’s spiritual and historical legacy. _“At Silver Grove School, every excursion is designed to transform sightseeing into insight—where heritage becomes learning and journeys become wisdom.”_
